Hop-on Hop-off Zone


Dashed lines are "Hop-on Hop-off Zones", where you can "catch a bus anywhere in the zone.

Hop-on Hop-off is not available in the solid colored lines; buses stop only at regular bus stops.
* Fare is calculated based on an adjacent regular bus stop.
* No transfer ticket is provided.

Bus lines are identified by number. 

Each bus displays a sign behind the windshield indicating its line number with a capital letter of the destination. (e.g. 2S means the bus is bound for Sawata on Line #2, Minamisen line.   * This will become effective on April 1, 2009. 

Raise your hand so that the bus driver can easily recognize you.
(Do so at a safe location, not at a blind corner, steep slope, intersection, or areas at which it may cause traffic disruption.)
Use a regular bus stop where Hop-on Hop-off is not available (indicated in the solid colored lines).
Get on from the rear door.
Take a ticket from the dispenser when you enter into the bus. Depending on the origin of buses, there may be no ticket in the dispenser. If so, you are a no-ticket passenger (NTP).
Notify the driver approx. 100m before the bus reaches your destination or,
Use stop button where Hop-on Hop-off is not available.
Find you fare by matching your ticket number with the table displayed in the bus. If you are a NTP, fare is displayed in the box of "Ȃ" (no-ticket).
